Managing Director

Tom is the Managing Director of Baystate Wealth.  Tom is charged with overseeing and running the day-to-day business of Baystate Wealth and formulating and implementing Baystate Wealth’s short-term and long-term strategic goals and objectives. Tom also oversees Baystate Wealth’s compliance program, policies, and procedures.

After graduating from St. Lawrence University and law school, Tom spent nearly 20 years practicing law with Hale and Dorr in Boston (now Wilmer Hale).  In March 2000, Tom retired from Hale and Dorr and entered the financial services industry by founding and running a registered investment advisory firm called Marathon Capital Group.  After selling Marathon Capital in October 2008, Tom founded Baystate Wealth in 2009.  In all, Tom has over 20 years of experience running federally registered investment advisory firms.

Tom is and has been active in the philanthropic community, including the Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation (Board member), the Friends of Special Olympics (Board member), the Tower School in Marblehead, Massachusetts (Board Chair), the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (support for wounded veterans).

Tom and his wife, Julie, live in Boston and in Osterville, Massachusetts. They also spend time in John’s Island in Vero Beach, Florida. Tom is an avid golfer, skier and sailor.
